Rep. Thelma Drake has raised $1.7 million dollars.

History and two term Presidents
As we approach the final weeks of this campaign, there are a few things to remember besides Barack Obama’s voodoo economics of giving almost everyone a tax cut while paying for everyone’s health care and increasing government spending while…
Lawbreaking Senator Should Resign
If a State Senator can’t follow state law, she shouldn’t continue writing them.

So, Obama won’t raise taxes, huh?
It sounds familiar.
“…I will tell you this: I will not raise taxes on the middle-class to pay for these programs.” –Bill Clinton, presidential debate, 10/19/92
and then…
“To middle-class Americans who have paid a great deal over the last 12 years and from whom I ask a contribution tonight…”

Bolling to Kaine: I’ll help, but I told ya so
Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling offered his support to Gov. Kaine in his time of budgetary need.
“I applaud the Governor for his commitment to bring the budget into balance through spending reductions and not higher taxes. While we can discuss where and how these spending reductions should be made, I am committed to working with [...]

Democrats cheer McCain!!
This one’s a keeper. At a Democratic rally, listen to the ovation Democrats give to this introduction. Do they even listen, or do they just cheer on cue no matter what is said?
The Kaine budget - raise and slash
What a difference picking Joe Biden makes!
Pre-Biden, Tim Kaine is Governor of Virginia and insisting on huge spending increases with rosey budget projections that no one believed, except him and his Secretary of Finance, Jody Wagner, who has since quit to run for Lt. Governor.
Thanks to Kaine and Jody Wagner, Virginia’s budget cranked up the [...]

Virginian-Pilot makes the case for Term Limits
Kudos to rookie Sen. Ralph Northam, who did what Sen. Yvonne Miller couldn’t, wouldn’t and hasn’t done.
Her job!
Looks like judges will be appointed, since even Democrats tired of Miller’s obstructionist ways which put her polit…

WAVY-TV 10 asked Glenn Nye 7 times
Ask Glenn Nye a yes or no question, and you may have to ask him 7 times before you get something close to an answer. WAVY-TV 10 had to about the bailout bill.
Seven times, WAVY.com tried to nail down Nye on how he would have voted and seven times Nye refused to answer yes [...]
Obama might have my vote
When asked about federal government involvement in sports, Obama just told ESPN that he might enact a college football playoff system by Executive Order.
I HATE bowl games. I might have to vote for Obama after all….

Tax cuts added to bailout
Looks like the bailout bill is being made sweeter to attract Republican votes.
a provision to prevent more than 20 million middle-class taxpayers from feeling the bite of the alternative minimum tax, $8 billion in tax relief for those hit by natural disasters in the Midwest, Texas and Louisiana and some $78 billion in renewable energy [...]

Man shot during Civil War re-enactment
I sometimes wondered when this was gonna happen.
ISLE OF WIGHT - A man was apparently shot during a Civil War re-enactment over the weekend in Isle of Wight County.
The 72-year-old man, who was not identified by police, was apparently shot during a re-enactment at Heritage Park. He was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
