Some say the Illinois senator has even “lengthened” the size of his already prodigious lead.
Barack well-endowed with super-delegates, yet Hillary campaign fails to reach climax.
More on the raided, Saudi-financed Cuccinelli donors who Cuccinelli claims give to him because they are “so conservative”
Hillary Clinton and Gerry Connolly are just a few of the pols who have received donations from raided Safa Group financier M. Yaqub Mirza. Cuccinelli claims Mirza’s gifts to Cuccinelli aren’t influence-buying but rather because Mirza is “so conservative.”
Cuccinelli claims raided Safa Group execs fund him because “because they’re so conservative, and my goodness, they are.” Except when they also fund Barack Obama and Ralph Nader!
Ken’s “so conservative” Safa Group donor Jamal Barzinji has donated to Barack Obama (above), Ralph Nader, Jim Webb and Jim Moran (later returned.) Barzinji’s candidates are so palpably conservative I feel that I can reach out and touch them.

Open letter to David Horowitz: We have a situation here with an AG candidate taking International Institute of Islamic Thought money
Take that, IIIT! Now almost 70 and a former Marxist(!) David Horowitz is the publisher of FrontPage magazine. He was stop #1 in my renewed attempt to generate a blogswarm over Cuccinelli’s acceptance of Safa Group cash.
Temple University refuses to accept $1,500,000 from raided Cuccinelli-donors at the International Institute of Islamic Thought
In January 2008 Temple University performed due diligence and concluded that it could not accept $1.5M from IIIT because IIIT is the target of an ongoing federal investigation. But AG Cooch keeps $1800 from IIIT execs Altalib, Al-Alwani and Barzinji.
Attempt to impose sharia in Maryland court fails.
All over the USA there is a constant battle to keep Sharia law out of the US legal system. Cuccinelli’s raided Safa Group donors include officials of the International Institute of Islamic Thought. Cooch’s committment to opposing sharia is suspect.

Cuccinelli’s donors seek freedom for ‘high-value’ Gitmo prisoner who sought to blow up DC-area gas stations
Cuccinelli is allied with several individuals who support America’s enemies. Gill and Gallinger partner Asim Ghafoor represents or has represented fugitive Saudi financier Soliman Al-Buthe, who is a “Specially-Designated Global Terrorist.”
Raided Cuccinelli-donors Hisham Altalib and Jamal Barzinji each donate $25,000-$50,000 to Gitmo lawyers
The Center for Constitutional Rights coordinates legal representation for 500+ Gitmo detainees and represents a few (e.g., Majid Khan) directly. Cuccinelli-donor and raided Safa Group financier Hisham Al-Talib (above) has donated $25K-$50K to the CCR.
Time to find out who Cuccinelli and Day’s clients are before it’s too late
If not for an accidentally-released classified document we would not know that Gallinger and Gill attorney Asim Ghafoor represented or represents fugitive Specially-Designated Terrorist Soliman Al-Buthe. We had better find out who Cuccinelli represents.

Safa Group raids of which Cuccinelli claimed ignorance were in NY Times (and on WashPo frontpage!)
Ken and others are laying down on the job when it comes to being suspicious of jihadist donors. (”Ouch,” says Ken. “Could you move over, Bill? How much do you weigh anyway, 300 lbs?” “As a matter of fact, I do,” responds LG Bolling. “Quiet!” says Grover)
Horse had left barn by the time feds investigated Al Qaeda-infested flop house in Vienna
We need proactive attorney generals. Cooch has accepted $19,200 from the raided Safa Group, which is the object of a long-running grand jury investigation in Alexandria. Cooch refuses to discuss Customs Agent David Kane’s affidavit about Cooch’s donors.
An AG candidate’s job is to be suspicious of “special-interest aliens” acting strangely.
Ken Cuccinelli is lying down on the job.
Police ignored complaints about Al Qaeda safehouse in Vienna
9/11 hijacker Waleed M. Alshehri lived in the above Vienna home. Neighbors had complained to both the local police and the FBI about all the suspicious-looking Middle Eastern men staying at the flat, but authorities did nothing. We need an anti-terror AG!

Cuccinelli feigned ignorance of front-page headlines about Safa Group raids
Ken believes that it isn’t whether you tell the truth that matters, but rather, how good you look lying. Ken claims that when he raised $4900 from the Safa Group on 7/31/02 he didn’t know of the front-page news that it had been raided.

Terror investigations indict 400; where would Virginia’s next Attorney General stand?
400 people were indicted from ‘01 to ‘06 for all kinds of crimes (mostly immigration-related) as a result of terror investigations. Accepting $19,200 from the raided Safa Group biases Cuccinelli (l.) against these raids. Pic by C. Reichley.
Astute reader corrects GoodbyeKen; WashPo didn’t self-censor article
Contrary to what I had thought, the Washington Post continues to make its 3/18/03 Safa Group article available at its Archives website. Hence the disappearance of the freebie version of the article by Doug Farah (above) is not self-censorship.

Washington Post self-censors 3/18/03 article about Cuccinelli-donors the Safa Group
Litigious Safa Group attorney Nancy Luque is one possible reason that the Post disappeared the article. It left up a one-paragraph correction which mentioned Luque (left, with impeachment-era client Julie Hiatt Steele.)
McCain fires Ali Jawad, but Cuccinelli won’t return Taha J. Al-Alwani’s $$$
“Ali Jawad is no longer participating in efforts - whether fundraising or otherwise - on behalf of McCain Victory 2008,” says RNC spokesman Danny Diaz. McCain denies receiving any contributions from Jawad. But Cooch scored $700 from Taha J. Al-Alwani.

Sami Al-Arian convicted on immigration-related charges for helping $700-Cuccinelli-donor’s illegal-worker enter USA
Sami Al-Arian pleaded guilty to illegally helping Islamic Jihad official Basheer Nafi immigrate to the US. The INS later discovered Nafi working for Cuccinelli-donor Taha J. Al-Alwani’s school. The then INS deported Nafi for violating his visa.
