Just to clarify….

Posted by Republitarian in October 12th 2008

Apparently some folks think that I am "John Doe" and/or "Right Field". I am neither.

Frustrating

Posted by Republitarian in October 11th 2008

I’m tired.
I don’t understand how reasonable people would elect someone who has identified himself as a socialist, and who has unrepentent terrorist friends.
It is frustrating to watch as this nation continues to cripple itself with the choices we make. We have no discipline.
Collectively and individually, our eating is out of [...]

Gettin’ deep

Posted by Republitarian in October 7th 2008

Last night at the NAACP forum, Penny Imeson got emotional while talking about her dad getting arrested for joining in civil rights protests. Of course, this somehow qualifies her for being treasurer.
Bill Ney was also there and said the reason he was running for treasurer was because “his wife and daughter wanted him to [...]

Attention Penny Paul Imeson

Posted by Republitarian in October 3rd 2008

I’ve been hearing that Penny Paul has hit a staggering amount of houses throughout this campaign and I’ve kind of been wondering how she has done it.
Today I got my answer.
Apparently, she goes up to the house, greets the person who opens the door and says something to this affect.
‘High, I’m Penny Paul Imeson and [...]

J.M. Snell loses it

Posted by Republitarian in October 3rd 2008

Last night on “Speaking of Politics”, J.M. lost it when under cross examination by Yours Truly. He turned indignant when I asked him about his affiliation with the Builders Association and what would he do since his decisions would affect the wallets of his fellow SVBA members. He accused me of “smearing his [...]

Bozniaks

Posted by Republitarian in October 2nd 2008

Well, when your well versed on foreign policy like Joe Biden is….you have to wonder where he pulled that from. The moderator correctly pointed out that Biden has favored intervention everywhere else, like Darfur, but not Iraq. Biden sounded awful when he said he was for gay rights but then turned around and [...]

If the republicans lose….

Posted by Republitarian in October 2nd 2008

….they have only themselves to blame.
The nominee had issues holding his base, he spent his VP pick to get it back, instead of a more moderate, independent choice.
We then have trouble with the economy and lingering questions about the war.
Our state party has had power so long they thought they wouldn’t lose it, and the [...]

Thus saith the Lord!

Posted by Republitarian in October 1st 2008

“These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”
Rockingham County, Virginia, where we say we love Jesus….and a whopping 17% of us attend church on the weekend.

An Expensive Cherry

Posted by Republitarian in October 1st 2008

During the forum for the city coucil candidates, Roger Baker referred to the golf course as “the cherry on the banana split” when it came to the city’s rec department. Kai promptly said, “That’s an awfully expensive cherry.”
Kudos to Kai for the best one liner in the debate.
Charles Chenault, in reference to [...]

State Prayers

Posted by Republitarian in October 1st 2008

Individuals work for the state, and they act as agents, WHO ARE PAID BY EVERYONES’ TAXES.
We should not be praying at state functions at all.
There is only one true God. If a christian works for the state, he should not pray to some “Vanilla God” because that is worshipping a false God. [...]

Debate Roundup

Posted by Republitarian in September 30th 2008

I listened on the radio to the candidates’ forum which was held today.
I can see why Harrisonburg hired a publicist….Roger Baker can hardly talk.
The worst line goes to J.M. Snell, who in his opening remarks said, “I don’t have an agenda”. I felt like I was hearing a used car salesman remind me how [...]

The wifey brought home a dog…..

Posted by Republitarian in September 30th 2008

a few weeks ago without permission. The dog yips at night in the basement, plays in the road, bites, and mauls me when I try to tie my shoes.
She calls him “Grapenut”….I call him “Triggerbait”.

Timing is everything

Posted by Republitarian in September 29th 2008

One has to wonder how a financial crisis hits 5 weeks before an election that requires major legislative action by congress.
Kind of makes you wonder if something sinister is going on……

Okay, Partisan hack democrats, listen to your own side ruin our economy for payoffs!

Posted by Republitarian in September 29th 2008

Please watch the entire video and listen to Bill Clinton(at the very end) blame democrats for this crisis and praise republicans for trying to stop it.
Tell all your neighbors. George Bush tried, on 17 occassions, to draw attention to this looming crisis…..all blocked by democrats who were getting campaign contributions from Freddie and Fannie.

Due to the number….
